Yes, it’s that time again already… although I must admit I am submitting my artwork earlier than usual this week.
“This week, our creative prompt is the Peace Symbol. This universal sign of peace turns 50 years old this year (although there is some controversy that it has been around for much longer); whatever its origins, let us be inspired by what this symbol represents — to you personally or to others.”
This week’s theme for Inspire Me Thursday is “two” (to celebrate the website’s second birthday). Oh, the possibilities!
The first thing I thought of when I read this topic was a reflection. I realised I had a box of watercolour paints I had never even opened, and thought this would be the perfect challenge to use them. I have used watercolour pencils before, but not watercolour paints, and I was quite surprised at how much more difficult I found them compared to acrylics.

My thumbs breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday – I finally got a new mobile!
I’ve been in a painting kind of mood lately. I’m not sure what has gotten me so inspired lately – probably a combination of things. I’ve been talking to Matt about him making me a website just for my artwork where maybe I could even sell some, although I think that could just be wishful thinking. I really don’t know if any of my stuff is good enough to sell – Matt thinks it is, but he is biased. Feel free to let me know if you think this idea is totally nuts.
I am going to try to do something for all the Inspire Me Thursday topics… so far I’m not doing too badly but I think the topics have been easy ones for me!
