Personally, I'd prefer to see them arrive sometime in the future, but the past would be OK too, as long as they explain it nicely. As long as they don't end up in 2008 (and on flying...Vespa's?) Not too sure who I think the 5th Cylon is, but I'm not thinking Starbuck or Baltar - they seem a little too obvious. Besides, they've gone so far down the 'is Baltar a Cylon' path in the past I don't think it would be fair on the fans to suddenly say 'yep. He was actually a Cylon all along'. In answer to your second question, obviously it will be Earth in the '80s! :-) Starbuck and Apollo will start exploring our strange society on their flying motorbikes, then hijinks and cahootery ensue.
