Inspire Me Thursday - Peace

Yes, it’s that time again already… although I must admit I am submitting my artwork earlier than usual this week.
“This week, our creative prompt is the Peace Symbol. This universal sign of peace turns 50 years old this year (although there is some controversy that it has been around for much longer); whatever its origins, let us be inspired by what this symbol represents — to you personally or to others.”
Here’s the two paintings I came up with:
This one is just called “peace” - the colour blue always makes me feel peaceful.
This one is called “Groovy, Baby!” because I thought it looked like something from an Austin Powers movie (or something that belongs on the side of a VW).

I think it’s totally cool. Groovy, yes. And needs to be on the side of a VW kombi.

yes, but if i were going for complete irony, i’d have this on the side of my SUV. complete with a SupportOurTroops ribbon as i fill up the gas tank.

Yes! Both pieces are perfect with their very different moods. The bottom one is very psychedelic. I could defintely see it painted on a VW bus!

Great ! Love them both but I prefer the one on the bottom. Great colors too !
