Inspire Me Thursday – Kitchen
Posted Wednesday, March 12 at 5:10 pm by Kirsten
One of the reasons I was so looking forward to having this blog again was so that I could participate in Inspire Me Thursday again. Inspire Me Thursday is a website where a new prompt is posted each week, as inspiration to create something artistic. I haven’t done much art in the past year or so, and thought this would be a great incentive for me. I’ve decided to participate in this week’s “kitchen” challenge.
Because I have recently done a pretty large painting I was wanting to try something different, so I had a go at some photography. I was originally going to just take photos and print them in black and white, but I got a bit carried away with the editing tools…

Let me know what you think!
P.S. By popular demand, here is the pic of how they look on the wall… sorry it’s not a great pic:

These are now in a photo frame on our kitchen wall.
Can I just say how cool they look, and how nice they are on the wall

How about a pic of them on the wall? Would be good to see how they look ‘in action’!

Popular demand is one request?
Maybe I should request more things by ‘popular demand’

This is a very cool series! The filters you used give them a rough, stone-like appearance. They look great hanging toegther!

Really great effect with the editing!

I like that you didn’t just go for straight black and white — that would have had impact too, but these are much more “artistic”…you’ve made inanimate objects have “life”.

taking something boringly familiar and volleying back something requiring deciphering, Splendid. maybe i just like sneaky abstracts.
